Sleeper Picks: THE TOUR Championship

T.J. Auclair PGATOUR.com Interactive Producer Pick: Camilo Villegas Villegas is still in search of his first win on the PGA TOUR and East Lake might not be a bad place for that. Villegas played in the 2001 U.S. Amateur here. With a 68 in the stroke-play portion, the Colombian easily made it in to the field of 64 for the match-play before losing his third-round match to University of Florida teammate Bubba Dickerson, 1 up. Six years later, Villegas could be the best young player on TOUR never to have won — and it’s only his second season out here. Having played his way into East Lake with a tie for ninth in the Deutsche Bank Championship and a tie for seventh in the BMW Championship, expect the hot play to continue.
