Rock Solid Performance: Els at The Honda Classic

At the Honda Classic, PGA National’s Champion Course played to an average of 1.825 strokes over par — the highest of 15 courses played so far during the 2008 PGA TOUR season. While Ernie Els excelled in many statistical categories, one of the most important was his ability to avoid scores of bogey or worse. Els was over par on 13 percent of the holes played, , compared to the field which averaged bogey or worse 22 percent of the time. Els made just one double bogey all week.
